AVS is pleased to offer special rates at the following downtown Charlotte hotels.
Keep in mind that reserving a room in this convention block helps AVS meet its financial commitments to the host city and retain lower registration fees as well as a high-quality conference with the features and services you are accustomed to. Reservations open June 16, 2025, and close August 18, 2025.
Due to limited space, we recommend booking as early as possible to receive this special rate—please note that once the reserved room block is full, the room availability and rate are not guaranteed and may vary.
Conference Hotels
The Charlotte Westin is not available in the AVS 71 housing block due to a dispute AVS had with the hotel following AVS’s cancellation of the 2021 AVS Symposium. As the Charlotte Westin set unacceptable requirements for rebooking, AVS was unable to do business with the Charlotte Westin as a result.

Offering a rich tapestry of urban neighborhoods filled with amenities, find yourself within walking distance of 350-plus places to eat or drink – with tons of outdoor seating, 23 galleries and museums, and nine performing arts venues. Uptown is at the center of it all—a place where business strength intersects with quality of life, where tradition meets innovation on every corner, and there is always something happening. South End – Charlotte’s design district – is where retro mixes with contemporary. This thriving neighborhood is home to craft breweries, funky galleries, and unique restaurants, which can all be seen while taking a stroll along the Charlotte Rail Trail to discover some of the city’s best shopping, dining, and public art. While in Charlotte, also do not miss the 7th Street Public Market, Nascar Hall of Fame, Carowinds Amusement Park, U.S. National Whitewater Center, TopGolf, and many other attractions.
Climate:
Carolina blue skies can be seen year-round in Charlotte. With an annual average temperature of 61.5 degrees, weather in the Queen City is fair and mild. The changing leaves of autumn in Charlotte’s dense tree canopy provide a stunning backdrop for the city skyline. Mild temperatures in the 60s stick around throughout fall and encourage people to enjoy the outdoors as the days grow shorter.
Things to Do:
Explore Uptown! Uptown is home to serene parks, world-class arts attractions, exciting pro-sports venues and rows of restaurants. Named for the elevated geographical positioning of the district’s center at the intersection of Trade and Tryon Streets, Uptown has historically been Charlotte’s hub for commerce, dating back to the trade routes of the Catawba tribe. Today, Uptown’s footprint is continuously expanding, beckoning businesses from across the globe while supplying space for local purveyors to set up shop.
